Women’s Elite Rugby Legacy Cup

Problem Statement
Design a commemorative shirt for the Women’s Elite Rugby Legacy Cup that visually represents the identity of the first professional women’s rugby league in the United States and resonates with its athletes and supporters.

Constraints
The design needed to authentically reflect the league’s mission and audience while remaining suitable for apparel production. It had to balance expressive illustration with clean execution for high-quality printing.

Intentional Decisions
I focused the concept around celebrating strength, athleticism, and representation in women’s rugby. Using Procreate for initial illustration and Adobe Illustrator for refinement and production-ready vector work, I developed a design that highlights powerful female rugby imagery while maintaining clarity and impact on apparel.

Measurable Results
The final design successfully captured the spirit of the league and was used for the Legacy Cup event, helping reinforce the visual identity and celebration of professional women’s rugby. The shirt also sold out at the Legacy Cup!
